Linfesty ended up making a series of puzzled faces while Trump spoke, and many on social media took notice. However, the high schooler stood out because of his animated facial expressions, that ranged from bewildered to skeptical.

Ironically, it turns out plaid shirt guy wasn't the only person who wasn't considered worthy of standing behind the president.

Montana is one of five states that Trump won by double digits in 2016 where a Democratic senator is up for re-election this fall - which the White House and Republican strategists hope will give the President outsized influence on their Senate races. It'll also get your removed from the rally courtesy of the Secret Service.

He said him and his friends did not have an agenda and had an open mind before attending.

"They told us while we were sitting there, 'you guys have to keep clapping, you have to smile, you have to look enthusiastic, '" Linfesty told the Gazette.

"It's still hard for me to believe that people are recognizing me in the hallways as "plaid shirt guy" now", Linfesty said. "I don't think it's appropriate what they did". "Those faces just came out when I heard what he was saying", Tyler added.

The crowd behind Trump at his rallies usually seems carefully selected, since they know those will be the people visible in video of the event, but it seems that their extreme vetting wasn't quite thorough enough this time around.

Ex-Trump Campaign Adviser Jailed
He said his client doesn't recall telling anybody connected with the Trump campaign about Mifsud's offer of Clinton dirt. However, they wrote, the claim that his lies harmed the investigation are "speculative and contrary to the evidence".

When President Donald Trump took the stage on Thursday at the Rimrock Auto Arena in Billings, Montana, it had all the trappings of his signature rallies. "They treated me fine", he said.

Trump also raised the specter of impeachment if Democrats win control of Congress.

"I saw this woman walking toward me on the left", Linfesty told the paper.

An unnamed woman walked up and told the young man he was being replaced, as were his friends.

"What I'm really disturbed by is the fact that two months ago, when the president came out and announced his nominee, Jon Tester said, 'I'm going to keep an open mind and meet with Brett Kavanaugh, '" Rosendale said.

"It feels unbelievable I cant comprehend it", he told CNN's Lemon.

The 17-year-old Billings West High School senior talked with MTN News on Friday about his whirlwind last 24 hours, which included appearances on several national TV news outlets and being featured in dozens of articles across the country.
