Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino happy with squad despite no signings

Aston Villa ready to offer Jack Grealish new deal with star man looking set to stay Mauricio Pochettino not expecting Tottenham signings before 5pm but insists he is happy with players he has

Tottenham kick off their Premier League campaign away against Newcastle on Saturday, and Pochettino is assessing the nine players who reached the World Cup semifinals and only returned to training on Monday. If we have all the squad thinking as individuals rather than as a collective game, you can not achieve what you want and can not succeed. It's a massive effort from the club.

Thursday's deadline passed without Spurs signing any new players, either permanently or on loan, so coach Mauricio Pochettino will open the club's new stadium with the same squad that finished third in the Premier League in May.

However, former Arsenal star Merson is backing the Gunners to finish outside the top four despite the influx of new talent in the 2018 summer transfer window.

"Of course it's hard to understand for people that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently".

"If we can not improve our squad it's better to keep it together".

Tottenham were rather quiet in the summer transfer window but the Lilywhites managed to keep hold of key players such as Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.

Angelina Jolie Says Brad Pitt Hasn’t Paid ‘Meaningful’ Child Support
The same source has also claimed Jolie is 'fueled with anger and has gotten ridiculously unreasonable'. However, they normally reside in Los Angeles, where Pitt also lives.

Speaking about any possible incomings, the Tottenham manager said in a press conference: "I think it's so hard now". "I have no doubt we are going to be competitive, with or without signings".

The Argentine also added that while their stadium cost "nearly £1bn", Brexit's effect on the pound against the Euro has made for a "30 per cent" increase when looking to bring players over from the continent. "I am the boss and if I expect from you to do something, then you need to provide it".

"It's true our targets are always the same level as Manchester United, Manchester City or Real Madrid but for different circumstances we can't achieve that".

"For me they are part of the team".

"Some need more time to get fit than others".
