‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Director Will Make Thai Rescue Movie to Avoid Hollywood ‘Whitewashing’ Widow of Thai cave diver’s message for the Wild Boars soccer team

The 12-members of the "Wild Boars" team and their coach spent more than two weeks trapped inside a flooded cave in the northern province of Chiang Rai.

The success of the rescue operation has even stunned its architects - expert divers who battled muddy, rushing floodwaters for days to reach the group and eventually extract them. "I want to say thanks to everyone that anxious", Biw said.

Officials at Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital said at a press conference early Saturday the boys are tentatively scheduled to be released on Thursday.

The youngest boy, 11-year-old Chanin Vibulrungreung, said in the video that his health is improving.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Thursday global members of the rescue team would be given a "Thailand Elite" card worth 500,000 baht ($15,000) with benefits including a 5-year visa in thanks.

Dom's grandmother, Kameay Promthep said she would tell Dom never to go near the cave or water again because she doesn't want anything to happen to him or for him to cause trouble to others again.

On the first successful run a jubilant message was sent back to Britain: "Boy 1 in chamber 3".

Six Australian Federal Police divers, together with Dr Richard Harris, a specialist in hyperbaric medicine, helped support the Thai Navy diving team rescue operation. Everyone appears emotionally and mentally well, but doctors said they are most concerned about the children being able to grow up without any repercussions from their ordeal.

"They thought they'd only be an hour", Banpot Korncam, father of the 13-year-old captain of the "Wild Boars" team, told media.

"I'm healthy now. Thank you for worrying about me and thank you for going in [to the the cave] to help me out".

The children - and their parents - have been advised to spend time with friends and family and not to give media interviews as that could "trigger post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms", the minister added.

Thailand health minister Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn told reporters the health of all 13 had improved.

That's what the 12 rescued Thai boys and their soccer coach will seek out after they finally leave the hospital next week.

Rescued cave boys and their coach to be allowed to rest, says hospital official.

The 37-year-old died on July 6 while placing oxygen tanks in the cave in preparation for the rescue. The former SEAL is being honored as a national hero, and his cremation ceremony was being held Saturday in his home.
