It's official: Katharine McPhee and David Foster are engaged. It's unclear exactly which day he proposed, but we imagine it was shortly before this pic was taken.

After the news of her engagement broke, McPhee used Twitter to address the reports with a single emoji and an Ariana Grande GIF. "What did I miss?" Foster was married to singer B.J. Cook from 1972 to 1981, Rebecca Dyer from 1982 to 1986, Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005, and Yolanda Hadid from 2011 to 2017.

The couple were first linked past year after being seen hanging out on numerous occasions. Adding the age difference between 68-year-old David and 34-year-old Katharine works for them despite seeming odd to many. In a conversation with Just Jared's Jared Eng, the American Idol alum revealed that Foster popped the question "at the top of this mountain in Anacapri" during the couple's romantic rendezvous in Italy.

When ET caught up with Foster at his home in March, he explained what it's like to date someone who approves of his kids.

McPhee also shared a post from the boat ride, slightly poking fun at her photographer. Erin Foster commented, "Mommmyyy", while Sara Foster said, "Out of the country. We just want someone that's going to treat him well and that cares about him, and I think he's with someone right now that really does". It will be McPhee's second trip down aisle, while it will be Foster's fifth marriage.
