Chelsea entertain Liverpool in race for the top four

Gary Cahill Gary Cahill interview: I can feel some Chelsea fans think 'move him on' but I'm still hungry

Chelsea won the Premier League title in style in Conte's first campaign at the club last season.

Legendary boxing announcer Michael Buffer introduced Chelsea's must-win match against Liverpool with his famous "Let's get ready to rumble!" catchphrase - and it seemed to rouse some new fight into the Blues as they defeated Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Six points separate Antonio Conte's men from today's opponents, but they have a game in hand at home to Huddersfield.

Liverpool head to Chelsea on a high after reaching the Champions League final following their dramatic two-legged triumph over Italians Roma.

"Liverpool are a good team".

Antonio Conte praised Chelsea for maintaining a Premier League top-four challenge that once looked "impossible" by beating Liverpool 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Jurgen Klopp was unconcerned by Mohamed Salah's disappointing performance against Chelsea, refuting the suggestion the Egypt winger is suffering burnout.

UK Ministers Put Off Decision On Post-Brexit EU Customs Arrangements
Also present at the meeting was Conservative Party Chief Whip Julian Smith, there to explain the Parliamentary arithmetic. Both are fundamentally split, with each side strong enough to block a plan, but not to push one through.

Liverpool's manager emphasised how important this game will be, saying that it is like a "final" for him and his side.

And, speaking after the Liverpool win, Chelsea forward Eden Hazard gushed over his team-mate and claimed he was a joy to play alongside.

Antonio Conte, on the other hand, is desperate for a result against Liverpool and keep their momentum going, with Chelsea now on a three game winning-streak.

Sadio Mane's 25-yard drive forced a sprawling save from Courtois and from the resulting corner, the Chelsea keeper needed to be alert to stop Virgil van Dijk heading in from close range.

"We don't have a big squad and we had injury problems, so when the boys come back [they] don't have rhythm". Other absentees include Emre Can, Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez.

Failing that, victory at home to Brighton on the final day of the league season would do the job before Liverpool focus on their European showdown with Cristiano Ronaldo and company.

For Liverpool, Adam Lallana is back in training but unlikely to be available from the start. "Then we'll see what happens".
