Tariffs should be part of USA trade policy, Trump foe Warren says

Elizabeth Warren fights back calls to take DNA test over Native American heritage claims Elizabeth Warren seeks to use Trump Pocahontas 'racial slur' as political tool

Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she is not running for president in 2020.

Last November Trump used the name at an event honoring Native American Code Talkers who served in World War II. Warren is sticking to the story she was told, but that doesn't make it true.

"The way I see it, at the end of the day, what the people of MA said is they cared a whole lot more about their families than they did about my background", she said.

Warren's response came after Todd read a portion of the editorial, posted on the television screen, that appeared in The Eagle's Tuesday edition.

"I am not afraid of tariffs", she said on NBC's "Meet the Press" program.

Figures on sexual assault against Native American women vary but the issue is agreed to be serious.

Last week, Warren donated campaign funds to every single state Democratic Party and the DNC, in a move that's widely seen as raising her national profile in preparation for a potential presidential run in 2020. When asked about her claim of Native American heritage, however, the MA lawmaker deflected, citing her family history and what she had been told by her parents.

Nigerians Celebrate International Women's Day
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, in a statement on the occasion, said: "We are at a pivotal moment for women's rights".

Sen. Elizabeth Warren knows who she is - and doesn't need a DNA test to prove it.

Trump referred to Warren as "Pocahontas" at the rally, a derogatory reference to her controversial claims of Cherokee heritage. "Never got any benefit from it anywhere", she added.

Warren further said she believes her family member's claims of Native American ancestry have been sufficient, at least for her, in addressing any questions that could be raised on the issue.

It doesn't look like the controversy over Elizabeth Warren's Native American ancestry is going to end anytime soon.

"It's about my family's story, ' she said".

"Yes, you do", Warren said, laughing. In an age of hypersensitivity to claims of cultural appropriation, it's odd that she thinks her family lore ought to be enough to put this to rest. And he was head over heels in love with her and wanted to marry her. "Never used it for anything".

A directory of law professors listed Warren as a minority from 1986 to 1995, just before she joined Harvard Law School. That's where I'm going to stay focused. "I am running for the United States Senate". They went through a lot of hard times.
