At least one police officer was shot and killed after a shooting occurred in Westerville Saturday afternoon.

"These were two of the best we have", said Morbitzer. "They knew how to do policing the right way, both of them", Morbitzer said. The officers were shot after they arrived at a residence. He called them "true American heroes".

The two officers were responding to a 911 call at the address in Westerville.

One officer was killed in the shooting and another died shortly after.

Among his desires is requiring more made-in-America auto production and shifting more government contracts to USA companies. Some are just goofy, like his claim that we need to "rethink concepts as basic as space and time".

The investigation is being led by the Columbus Police Department, Morbitzer confirmed.

Ohio Governor John Kasich, who calls Westerville his home town, said the officers' "deaths are a awful tragedy for my hometown of Westerville and all of Ohio".

Westerville, on the northeast side of Columbus, is a suburb with about 39,000 residents.

They were the first Westerville officers killed in the line of duty. In a follow-up Tweet officials said a second officer, who was initially reported to be in critical condition, had succumbed to his injuries. "We will learn more soon about this tragic incident but please join me in lifting up these officers' families in prayer".
