LOS ANGELES-Multiple people were shot Friday at a business in Long Beach, authorities said.

Police responded at 2:25 p.m.to a report of an active shooter at the law office in the 300 block of East San Antonio Drive in the Bixby Knolls area, according to Sgt. Brad Johnson. "Suspect is also believed to be deceased at the scene", the Long Beach police department tweeted.

Long Beach police on Friday called the shooting "workplace violence".

The extent of the injuries or the exact number of people hurt was not immediately clear.

There is video that shows people running from an unmarked building.

Officials did not say what business was involved, but the Long Beach Press-Telegram reported it was a law office located at 350 E. Antonio St. listed as the Law Office of Larry H. Parker.

Police blocked off the area and several ambulances were seen at the scene.

Dozens of police officers, including members of a SWAT team, surrounded the building.
